Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila (silver or reposado)
  • 1 oz triple sec (or orange liqueur)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz mango purée or juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 23 slices fresh jalapeño (plus more for garnish)
  • Tajín or chili salt (for rim)
  • Ice
  • Mango slices + lime wedge (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

Step 1: Rim the glass with lime juice and dip into Tajín or chili salt. Set aside.

Step 2: In a cocktail shaker, muddle the jalapeño slices with simple syrup to release the heat.

Step 3: Add tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and mango purée. Fill with ice.

Step 4: Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled.

Step 5: Strain into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.

Step 6: Garnish with a lime wedge, mango slice, and an extra jalapeño ring.

Notes

  • Always taste your jalapeño first—heat can vary.
  • Adjust syrup based on how sweet your mango purée is.
  • For less spice, remove jalapeño seeds before muddling.
