Ingredients

🍍 Pineapple Layer:
  • 1 cup ice
  • ½ cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • ½ cup coconut milk (or regular milk)
  • 1 tsp honey or simple syrup
  • Optional: a splash of pineapple juice or a dash of vanilla extract
🍓 Strawberry Swirl:
  • ½ cup strawberry purée (or blended fresh/frozen strawberries)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (brightens the flavor)
  • 1 tsp sugar, honey, or agave syrup
  • Optional: a drop of red or pink food coloring for a more vibrant swirl
🍦 Toppings:
  • Whipped cream (dairy or non-dairy)
  • Drizzle of strawberry syrup and/or pineapple syrup
  • Toasted coconut flakes
  • Tropical sprinkles or a pineapple wedge for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

Step 1: Add the ice, frozen pineapple, coconut milk, honey, and optional pineapple juice or vanilla to a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. You want the texture to be thick enough to hold its shape when layered, but not so thick that it won’t pour easily.

Step 2: In a separate bowl or mini blender, blend the strawberries with lemon juice and your choice of sweetener. For a more vivid color, add a drop of natural or gel food coloring. If you’re using frozen strawberries, let them thaw slightly to make blending easier.

Step 3: To assemble the frappuccino, spoon a layer of the strawberry swirl into the bottom of a tall clear glass. Pour in half of the pineapple mixture slowly, letting it settle naturally on top. Add another swirl of the strawberry blend and repeat with the rest of the pineapple layer.

Step 4: Using a straw or a long cocktail spoon, gently stir the drink in a vertical swirling motion. This creates a marbled, swirled appearance without fully blending the layers together.

Step 5: Top your drink with a generous amount of whipped cream. Drizzle extra strawberry or pineapple syrup over the whipped topping, then sprinkle on toasted coconut flakes or sprinkles for added texture and decoration.

Step 6: Serve immediately with a wide straw and a pineapple wedge or strawberry slice on the rim. For outdoor events or brunch tables, serve with a pastel-colored napkin or in a mason jar for a rustic touch.

Notes

  • If your fruit isn’t very sweet, adjust with a bit more honey or agave.
  • Use canned pineapple in juice (not syrup) if fresh or frozen isn’t available, and reduce sweeteners accordingly.
  • Let the components sit in the fridge for 10 minutes before layering for a firmer, chilled effect.
