  • 1 packet onion soup mix

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 12 oz egg noodles

  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Preparation

Step 1: Prep the beef
Season the beef stew meat or sirloin tips with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Add to crockpot
Place the seasoned beef into the crockpot.

Step 3: Make the gravy mixture
In a separate bowl, combine the brown gravy mix, onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine.

Step 4: Pour over beef
Pour the gravy mixture over the beef in the crockpot, ensuring all pieces are well coated.

Step 5: Cook on low
Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6–8 hours, or until the beef is fork-tender. Alternatively, cook on high for 4–5 hours.

Step 6: Prepare noodles
About 20 minutes before the beef is done, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 7: Combine and serve
Once the beef is done, stir to ensure the gravy is smooth. Serve the beef tips and gravy over the cooked egg noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For thicker gravy, dissolve 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of cold water and stir it into the crockpot 30 minutes before serving.

  • Browning the beef before adding to the crockpot enhances flavor but is optional.

  • If using fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary, add them in the last hour of cooking.

  • Egg noodles should be cooked separately to maintain texture.

  • Stir gently to keep the beef pieces intact when combining with noodles.
